- Description
- Diagram showing how silicon nanopillars can reshape the color, phase, polarization, and timing of an ultrafast light pulse.
Context
The research showed a compact way to reshape ultrafast light pulses with a metasurface made from tiny silicon pillars. Different colors in the pulse are spread out, adjusted separately, and recombined into a new pulse shape.
Approach
The diagram follows the pulse from left to right: incoming pulse, separated colors, nanopillar array, and shaped output. I kept amplitude, phase, polarization, and color separation in one path without turning the image into a full optical schematic.
